Support Staff  

Summary – Ruthmere Museum Campus seeks a qualified and enthusiastic part-time team member for the position of Support Staff.  The Support Staff member is supervised by Senior Staff and is responsible for giving tours, helping with weekend programs/special events, assisting volunteers, and providing vacation support to Senior Staff.  Support Staff can be a shared position between two people, each Support Staff member committing to one weekend day per week, instead of the full weekend.

Required Skills
*Must possess exceptional customer service and people skills. 
*Must present a professional, welcoming image to the visiting public.
*Strong written and communications skills required.
*Must be able to effectively communicate a passion for history, art, and culture and become well-versed in leading tours.
*Must have reliable transportation to and from place of employment.

Preferred Experience
*Experience in education, arts and culture or customer service field preferred, passion for history, arts and culture required.

*College degree preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.

*Coordinates tours with other staff members and volunteers between two sites.

*Operates cash register and answers phones providing accurate site information.

*Set up and take down of tables, chairs and program equipment for special events.
*Assist with other pertinent responsibilities as assigned.

*Must be able to lift 50lbs.

*Up to 11 hours per week during normal weeks.  Additional hours available when filling in for staff vacations. 

Compensation and Start Date
*$10 per hour.  Possible additional income opportunity for individual with grant writing proficiency.
*Start date with training TBD mid-March, 2019, with duties beginning April 6, 2019.
