Larry Dwyer, Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Notre Dame, will present a Gallery Talk on, “American Jazz”: A Paradigm of Racial Unity,” complete with exciting videos and music by great performers such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, and Count Basie on Tuesday, August 1st, at 11 am.
Gallery Talks feature a twenty-minute discussion on an object/artwork within the Ruthmere collection or a person or event in local history. Our Gallery Talks are free and open to the public. Sponsored by Randall & Brenda Johnson.
