Giving Tuesday is a recent global phenomenon all about giving to the causes you believe in the most - all over the world, people donate to and work to raise money for non-profits that make a difference. This year, Ruthmere is participating in more ways than one to mutually benefit our community. We're certainly raising money for our organization, but we're also giving back to the community, too! Giving Tuesday this year is officially on December 3rd, but we're participating for the entire month of November. All YOU have to do is pick one of the two ways below to donate to this year's cause for youth education.

Field Trip Donations
This year is all about the kids. Our children are the future, and we're determined to make sure they have the resources they need for success. So this Giving Tuesday, we're asking for only $10 from you, the individual, to go to Ruthmere. This $10 donation pays for a local 3rd grader to take a field trip to Ruthmere and the Havilah Beardsley House! Field trips are proven to be essential for healthy childhood development and they lead to a more successful life overall. They allow children to step outside of their day-to-day life, learn from new perspectives, and engage in immersive environments for more memorable educational experiences.
Donate below or visit us on location to make your Giving Tuesday donation.
This year, we've also put together another opportunity to help the community: the Ruthmere Book Drive! Books are also a vital part of childhood development, but many families cannot afford to buy them. This book drive is specifically for children's books, and will be used to provide books for families with children in our area. You have a unique opportunity - both to get rid of any old books your kids outgrew or don't read anymore, as well as give other kids the chance to find their new favorite book!
The Donation Box will be by the historic signature wall at the Havilah Beardsley House (102 W. Beardsley Ave., Elkhart, IN 46514).
