An active performer, pianist Youmee Kim has appeared in over 130 recitals, concert series, festivals, conferences, and masterclasses in South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, China, Canada, Serbia, and across the United States. An active collaborative pianist, Dr. Kim recorded ‘Clarinet and Piano Fantasies’ with R. Rischin, where her collaborative performance was described as “Kim plays with great suavité allied to great delicacy.” and "Kim is perfectly supportive recital partner: imaginative and technically immaculate.”(FanfareMagazine). A specialist in American contemporary piano music, she has authored a book ‘An Analysis and Performance Guide to Benjamin Lees' Odyssey I and II.’ A dedicated teacher, Dr. Kim as more than 12 years of college teaching experience. Prior to joining Ohio Wesleyan University Department of Music, Dr. Kim has served as piano faculty at Ohio University and Wright State University.
At the request of the performing artist, face coverings are encouraged at this concert.
Single concert non-members $40 per seat. Single concert Ruthmere Members $25 per seat. Spring Season Pass for all four concerts with reserved seating is $100 per seat (available ONLY to Ruthmere Members). Note: Non-member Spring Concert ticket price includes a 10-day trial membership. Ruthmere Spring Concerts are considered private party events.
