Teas at Ruthmere
Ruthmere is known for tea. We have a beautiful teapot collection, we have a tea and crumpets option for tour bus groups, and we've become famous for our "Downton Abbey Tea" events. Ruthmere is offering 2 new series, "Teas for All Seasons," featuring four distinct teas on special Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm throughout the year, and "Tuesday's Teas at 2," featuring more casual teas every Tuesday in September and October. All teas will be open to the general public to attend. Limited seating for each date, so register early. It's tea time!
May 17th, 2020
Join us on Sunday, May 17th, 2020 at the Havilah Beardsley House for one of our famous teas – with a unique twist! This suffragette-themed tea will combine both educational history and the chance for smart women to gather together and celebrate. Dress up in the clothes of the suffragette era and take photos, enjoy tea from a tea company founded and owned by a woman, and play a few games that will teach you a thing or two about women’s history. We’ll have prizes, exclusive gifts, and, yes, even a designated place where you can smoke your cigars like the rebellious women you are. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to step into the shoes of a suffragette!
Adults $25, Students $10, Members $20. Reservations required with advance purchase or call 574-264-0330 ext. 104. Ages 4 and up.
