Annual Fund

The Ruthmere Annual Fund is a way to give a special or extra gift at any time of the year. The Annual Fund supports general operations related to areas of educational programs and tours, preservation of structures and collections, development and maintenance of gardens and grounds, and musical concerts. Every year in October, Ruthmere reaches out with the Annual Fund Drive seeking year-end gifts to this fund during the traditional time of giving, but the Annual Fund is open to all donors the entire year. 100% of Annual Fund gifts are tax deductible as no goods or services are exchanged for these charitable donations.

The Ruthmere Annual Fund is an opportunity for members and non-members alike to support Ruthmere with a subject-targeted gift. Donations to the Annual Fund can be designated by the donor to go specifically into one of these four areas:

* Education
* Preservation (for 2017 all "Preservation" Annual Fund gifts will go toward the restoration of the Ruthmere perimeter wall)
* Gardens
* Concerts

If no subject preference is given by the donor, the Annual Fund donation will go toward the area in the greatest need. Annual Fund gifts are ideal for making modest memorials for loved ones who held a special interest in Ruthmere. Memorial gifts to the Annual Fund will carry the name of memorialize person in our donor records and in our publications that list Annual Fund contributions. For memorial gifts of $100 or more, we encourage donors to contribute to one of Ruthmere's endowed funds held at the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.  See more information at our Legacy Gifts and Endowments page.
